Ride Fitness LLC ("RIDEFIT," "we," "us," or "our") operates the RIDEFIT fitness platform, including our website at ridefitness.co, our mobile application, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service. By using the Service, you also agree to our Terms of Service.

2. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

  • Account Information: Name, email address when you create an account.
  • Profile Data: Fitness level, equipment preferences, riding experience, and other profile details you provide to personalize your workouts.
  • Payment Information: Billing details processed through Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number on our servers.
  • Waitlist & Communications: Email address when you join our waitlist or subscribe to updates.

Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage Data: Workout completions, progress metrics, and feature interactions.
  • Device Information: Browser type, operating system, device identifiers, and screen resolution.
  • Analytics: We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our website. Google Analytics collects data through cookies and similar technologies. See Section 5 (Cookies & Tracking) for more details.

Health & Fitness Information

Profile data such as fitness level, workout completions, and progress metrics may be considered health-related information under certain laws. We process this data only to provide and personalize the Service. We do not collect biometric data (e.g., heart rate, blood pressure, or body scans) unless we explicitly notify you and obtain your consent.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal information on the following legal bases:

  • Contractual Necessity: Processing your account information, profile data, and payment information is necessary to provide you the Service under our Terms of Service.
  • Consent: We process your health-related fitness data and send marketing communications based on your explicit consent. You may withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legitimate Interest: We process usage data, device information, and analytics to improve the Service, ensure security, and detect abuse, where these interests are not overridden by your rights.

5. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate and improve the Service.

  • Essential Cookies: Required for the Service to function (e.g., authentication, session management). These cannot be disabled.
  • Analytics Cookies: Used by Google Analytics to collect anonymized usage data. Google may process this data according to its Privacy Policy.

Opting Out

You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on. You can also manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. Note that disabling cookies may affect Service functionality.

Do Not Track

Some browsers transmit a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. We currently do not respond to DNT signals, as there is no industry-standard interpretation of this signal.

Your information is stored and processed in the United States using Amazon Web Services (AWS). If you are located outside the United States, your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or other lawful transfer mechanisms to ensure your data is protected in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

8. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you the Service. Specific retention periods include:

  • Account data: Retained while your account is active and for 30 days after a deletion request to allow for recovery.
  • Workout and progress data: Retained while your account is active and deleted within 30 days of account deletion.
  • Analytics data: Retained for up to 26 months, consistent with Google Analytics defaults.
  • Payment records: Retained as required by applicable tax and financial regulations (typically 7 years).

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

10. Automated Decision-Making

The Service uses automated algorithms to personalize your workout programming based on your profile, equipment preferences, and feedback. This automated processing helps us tailor workouts to your fitness level and goals. You may contact us to request human review of any automated decision that significantly affects you.

11. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to or restrict processing of your data
  • Data portability (receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format)
  • Withdraw consent at any time

12. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) provide you with additional rights:

  • Right to Know: You may request details about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources of that data, our purposes for collecting it, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.
  • Right to Delete: You may request deletion of the personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions.
  • Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing: We do not sell your personal information. We share data with Google Analytics for cross-context behavioral analytics. You may opt out of this sharing by using the Google Analytics opt-out mechanisms described in Section 5.
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA/CPRA rights.
  • Right to Correct: You may request correction of inaccurate personal information.
